friendly and dedicated staff are committed to making all our ceremonies special
occasions and everyone is most welcome to call into the our venue to look around
and discuss their requirements.

We are open 7 days a week Monday to saturday 9:15 to 7pm, Sunday 10:30 to 6.30pm

Couples may bring their non-religious music on a pre-recorded tape or CD
to have it played as a background music.

The Legal Formalities OF marriage
•  You must reserve your chosen day and time for the use
of the TAC venue.  We would like a minimum of three weeks notice.
•  Before the marriage can take place ‘Notice of Marriage’ must be given at your
local Register Office. You will need an appointment and this must be done at least
16 days before the ceremony date. If you live in Hackney you should contact
Hackney Town Hall on 0208 356 3000 to make the appointment.
Notice of Marriage is when you declare you are free in law to marry
– the marriage cannot take place without it.
•  Notice can be given up to 12 months before the  date of your marriage and is valid
for 12 months. A non-refundable fee is payable to the register office for this service
(£30 per person).
•  When you attend the appointment you must inform the registrar of your chosen venue
for marriage, in this case,
The Golden Suite, TAC, 85-87 Stoke Newington Road, London N16 8AA’.  
•  The Register Office will send two registrars to officiate at the marriage.
 The charge for that should be paid to Hackney council.
